Cassie's online following rises sharply after the encounter with Brandon, and Maddy turns the attention into a demanding schedule of content and appearances. Cassie continues sending money to Nate even after leaving him. Brandon encourages her to abandon Maddy, but Maddy counters with the promise of an audition for L.A. Nights. Cassie signs a representation contract without reading it and uses her connection to Lexi to reach the production.
Her audition succeeds, giving Cassie an acting opportunity that unsettles Lexi. Maddy also finds another business opening when she speaks with Alamo about managing performers from his club. She chooses Kitty and Magick as potential clients. Nate remains behind on his payments despite Cassie's financial support, and another visit from Naz's enforcer leaves him injured again. The money Cassie earns has not removed the danger attached to their marriage.
Rue reports Alamo's plans to the DEA and tries to obtain information from Laurie's household. Her attempt to frame Magick fails when Magick discovers the planted drugs and takes them directly to Alamo. A visit to Jules also creates tension with Ellis, who fears the effect of another person entering the apartment he funds. Bishop and G take Rue from her meeting with Maddy to Alamo's property. Forced to dig a hole, she is buried up to her neck as Alamo approaches on horseback, leaving her facing an immediate threat.
