Nacho hides inside an abandoned tanker after his stolen truck breaks down. Once the Cousins leave, he reaches a mechanic’s shop, cleans himself and makes a farewell call to his father. He then offers Gus his surrender in exchange for Manuel’s safety, insisting that Mike confirm the promise. Gus’s men bring him back across the border. Mike beats him to make the capture convincing and explains the planned death: Nacho will clear Gus of responsibility, attempt an escape and be shot before the Salamancas can torture him.
Jimmy and Kim arrange to copy Howard’s car key and remote rather than duplicate his entire vehicle. Huell questions why established lawyers are committing crimes, prompting Jimmy’s unconvincing appeal to a greater good. Suzanne asks Kim to persuade Jimmy to inform on the Salamancas, believing Lalo is dead. At the desert handover, Mike watches through a rifle scope as Nacho falsely names a Peruvian cartel as his employer. Nacho also reveals that he replaced Hector’s heart pills and that Gus saved Hector’s life. Using hidden broken glass, he cuts his restraints and takes Bolsa’s gun. Instead of following the planned escape, he shoots himself. Hector fires into the body while Gus and his men leave.
