A flashback shows Chuck before he develops his claimed sensitivity to electricity. Jimmy visits his brother and meets Rebecca, whose ease with Jimmy leaves Chuck visibly uncomfortable. In the present, Kim remains stuck in HHM’s document-review room after Jimmy’s unauthorized commercial. Jimmy suggests suing the firm, but Kim refuses and decides to find a way out through her own work.
Kim spends her spare time calling contacts until she lands Mesa Verde as a major client for HHM. Howard welcomes the account but keeps Kim in document review and assigns its work elsewhere. Chuck later tells Kim that he will try to get her transferred, then shares his account of Jimmy taking money from their father’s store. The story helps explain why Chuck sees Jimmy’s schemes as part of a long pattern.
Jimmy is shadowed by Erin Brill at Davis & Main, where Cliff wants someone to keep him in line. Cliff has assigned Erin to monitor Jimmy after his unauthorized advertisement, making his new workplace increasingly uncomfortable. Mike also faces a choice when Hector Salamanca offers him money to claim that the gun found after Tuco’s arrest belonged to Mike. Mike refuses the request, leaving Hector to consider another way to pressure him.
