Spoilers for this episode.
Jack finds a phone at Stolnavich's house that leads to a freighter where Cheng is preparing to escape. Cheng warns that Audrey will be killed if Jack interferes, so Kate goes to rescue her while Jack pursues him. Chloe returns and helps guide Jack and Belcheck aboard the ship. When Cheng's men detect her access to their satellite feed, the operation is exposed and Cheng orders Audrey's death before Jack can reach him.
Kate locates the sniper by having Audrey draw his fire and shoots him, briefly getting her out of danger. A second gunman then attacks and fatally wounds Audrey. Kate calls Jack with the news before he captures Cheng. Jack pauses in shock, then fights through the remaining guards and overpowers him. He holds Cheng for video identification, giving the CIA the proof needed to stop the confrontation with China. Once that confirmation is complete, Jack kills Cheng with a sword. Heller learns that Audrey has died and collapses.
Jack returns to Chloe's position and finds her missing, with blood left behind. A telephone call arranges an exchange, and the story moves forward twelve hours into the following morning. Kate leaves her badge and gun at the CIA, while Heller prepares to accompany Audrey's coffin home. Jack meets the Russians, who have captured Chloe. He trades himself for her release, asks her to look after Kim's family and boards their helicopter, leaving London in Russian custody.
