Spoilers for this episode.
Jack, Bill and Renee bring the Matobos to the White House and explain that Dubaku has helpers inside American institutions. President Taylor has barely heard their account when Dubaku calls with Henry as his prisoner. He demands the withdrawal of American forces and Matobo's surrender, injuring Henry to prove the threat. Confirmation of Gedge's betrayal gives Taylor reason to trust Jack. Renee contacts Larry privately and asks him to keep her survival secret. Gedge's phone records lead to Edward Vossler, whom Jack pursues while Renee goes to his home. She holds Vossler's wife and baby at gunpoint, using their frightened voices over the phone to pressure him.
Vossler gives Jack the address where Henry is held, then attacks with a knife and dies in the struggle. Renee is shaken by her actions but chooses to continue. Bill and Ethan send a Matobo look-alike in a car to delay Dubaku while Jack and Renee converge on the address. Dubaku orders the decoy vehicle destroyed, leaving Taylor watching the explosion through surveillance. Marika's sister Rosa also confronts Dubaku about inconsistencies in his supposed identity. At the basement hideout, Dubaku orders Henry killed. Jack and Renee break in before the execution is completed, but a gunman shoots Henry in the chest during the rescue. Renee calls for an ambulance.
