Know What Co-op and PvP Add

On this page

Salt and Sacrifice is described as an online co-op successor to Salt and Sanctuary, with full co-op, drop-in quickplay and fast PvP through various factions.

Co-op covers the whole hunt

Four Salt and Sacrifice multiplayer notes: full online co-op, drop-in quickplay, faction PvP, and a world full of scavengers, secrets and traps.
Four things that change when other players are involved. Open the full image.

The description is full online co-op with a fellow Inquisitor, which means a partner can stay for the entire pursuit rather than joining for a boss. For a game built on chasing Mages through a labyrinth, that changes how much of the map you can safely cover.

Quickplay lowers the barrier

Drop-in quickplay is named separately from organising a session, so help does not require planning in advance. That makes the multiplayer a live option during a hunt rather than a separate mode you schedule.

PvP factions are part of the world

Fast and chaotic PvP runs through various factions, which fits a setting where you are a condemned Inquisitor in a divided realm. Treating every encounter as purely PvE is the assumption that PvP exists to break.

Multiplayer is a layer on top of the hunt, covered in hunting the Mages and taking what they leave, with the gear side in runic arts and weapons.
