With Not a Spoken Word
Arianna Kent's last spoken words were heard by a 911 operator telling them that her parents were dead.
About
With Not a Spoken Word is a Christian romance by the American writer Terry Fowler, published in 2011.
Arianna Kent's parents are dead, and the last words she spoke were to a 911 operator telling them so. She and her brother Simon are in hiding from the person who killed them, which means that they have to deal with their grief and their fear at the same time, and since the moment she found the bodies Ari has been unable to speak at all. Mitch Ellis is a psychiatrist, and her condition interests him professionally before it interests him personally. What he does not initially tell her is that he has secrets of his own, and the novel is built on the question of whether he can protect her once those secrets are known. The book also asks whether Ari can forgive somebody she loves for another betrayal, and it treats the answer as a matter of faith rather than of willpower, since the two of them are asked to trust God with a situation they cannot resolve themselves.
Fowler writes short romances for the Christian market, and this book was published by Heartsong Presents.
