Unravel Me
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point, where the resistance keeps a refuge for people whose abilities make them dangerous to the government that wants to use them.
About
Unravel Me is a young adult science fiction novel by the American writer Tahereh Mafi, published in 2013 and the second book in the Shatter Me series.
Juliette's ability to kill with a touch has made her valuable, and the government that calls itself the Reestablishment wanted her as a weapon. The book begins with her having reached Omega Point, the headquarters of the resistance and a place where people like her are safe from that plan. Warner, the man who held her prisoner, is not prepared to let her go, and the refuge turns out to be less safe than she hoped. She has been told what she is by other people for most of her life, and the book follows her attempts to decide it for herself. Juliette is not the only person at Omega Point whose ability the government would want, and what she finds at the refuge is a group of people who have been treated as weapons rather than as children. The novel is written for older readers and contains profanity and sexual violence.
It is the second of the novels about Juliette.
