The Two Pearls of Wisdom is a fantasy novel by the Australian writer Alison Goodman, first published in 2008. It has also appeared as Eon, Eon: Dragoneye Reborn and Eon: Rise of the Dragoneye.
The novel is set in a world where the twelve dragons of good fortune provide energy to the earth and each dragon is linked to a human Dragoneye. Eon is sixteen and has spent four years studying dragon magic in the hope of being selected as a Dragoneye's apprentice. Eon is also a girl living as a boy, because girls are not allowed to hold the position, which makes everything she is attempting a gamble with her life behind it.
The book was first published in Australia in trade paperback and has since been released under its other titles in Australia, Britain and the United States, and it has also been translated into several different languages. It won the Aurealis Award for best fantasy novel and was named an honour book in the James Tiptree Jr. Awards.
