The Tower of Nero
The battle for Camp Jupiter is over and New Rome is safe, but Apollo still has to face the last of the enemies he has been working towards, in a tower in New York.
About
The Tower of Nero is a fantasy adventure novel by Rick Riordan, published on 6 October 2020 and the fifth and final book of The Trials of Apollo, a series based on Greco-Roman mythology. It is narrated by Apollo, who has spent the series living as a mortal teenager after being cast out of Olympus.
The book opens after the battle for Camp Jupiter has been won and New Rome secured, and moves the story to a tower in New York where the last of the series' enemies is waiting. The Trials of Apollo has been a tour of the surviving oracles, and this volume collects the allies Apollo has gathered along the way for the final confrontation.
Riordan closes a sequence that began with the first Percy Jackson series, and the book returns to characters from the earlier novels as well as to its narrator's own problem of being human. It completes the five-volume story of Apollo's exile, and it is the volume in which the different series that share this world are brought into the same place.
