The savage heart
Tess Meredith and Raven Following grew up sharing the Montana plains, and the hardships that fell on the Sioux drove Raven away from his people and from her.
About
The savage heart is a romance novel by the American writer Diana Palmer.
Tess Meredith and Raven Following knew each other as children on the plains of Montana, where they had the freedom of the country and each other's company. The difficulties the Sioux faced in that period pushed Raven to leave his people, his inheritance and Tess, and he built a different life for himself in Chicago as a different man. Tess then arrives in the city to work for causes that the men around her do not take seriously. She is no longer the girl who could not be managed: she has become a suffragette and is committed to what she believes in. She brings with her everything Raven has been trying not to think about, including his own history.
Raven's work as an investigator is how the two of them are brought back into contact.
