Street Game
Mack McKinley and his team of GhostWalkers treat urban warfare as a craft, and on the streets of San Francisco he comes face to face with Jaimie Fielding, a woman he was involved with years ago before she disappeared.
About
Street Game is a romantic suspense novel by the American writer Christine Feehan, published in 2009 as part of her GhostWalker sequence. Its heroes belong to a unit whose members treat city fighting as a discipline, and the novel is as much about their trade as about the pair at its centre.
Mack McKinley leads his team through the streets of San Francisco, work he approaches as a practitioner who knows exactly how much can still go wrong. Years earlier he and Jaimie Fielding were lovers, and the relationship ended when she vanished from his life without explanation.
She walks back into it now as a spy carrying more secrets than are good for her, and the enemy that has put them both in the same place again is ruthless enough to destroy either of them. Jaimie proves she can play the game as tough as a unit trained for it, and the revived attraction between them is as dangerous to both of them as the people who are hunting them.
