Starlight
The four Clans of warrior cats have reached the lake that is to be their new home, and now they have to divide it up, learn its dangers and find a place where they can speak with StarClan.
About
Starlight is a children's fantasy novel by the author collective known as Erin Hunter, published in 2006. It is the fourth book of the New Prophecy arc in the Warriors series, and the name covers three writers, the series editor Victoria Holmes and the authors Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, who take turns writing the instalments.
The book follows the four Clans of wild cats, ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan and WindClan, after the destruction of their old territories by humans. They have travelled to a lake and made a temporary camp while they work out how to divide the land, where each Clan's boundaries will be, and where they will hold their monthly meetings under a truce.
One problem has no obvious answer: the Moonstone, the place where the Clans communicate with their ancestors, is far away in the home they have left. As the cats search for a substitute and settle into the new country, at least one of them is working towards an outcome that the others have not considered, and the novel makes the point that a forest full of unfamiliar animals may be the smaller danger.
