Right Move

Right Move is a romance novel by the American writer Liz Tomforde, published independently in 2023 and part of the Windy City series.

Ryan has just been made captain of a professional basketball team, and the general manager has made clear what he thinks of him, describing him as a lone wolf with no work-life balance to speak of. Into that situation comes Indy Ivers, his sister's closest friend, who needs somewhere to live. When the two of them are seen together the disapproval cools, so they decide to let people believe they are a couple, partly to answer the question the manager raised and partly because it is easier than explaining the truth. Indy has her own view of the arrangement, and what she wants from a relationship is not what Ryan has been giving anybody.
