I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You
Cammie Morgan attends the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, which calls itself a school for geniuses and is in fact a school for spies: the physical education is advanced martial arts, the science lessons cover chemical warfare and the computer classes involve breaking CIA codes.
About
I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You is a young adult novel by the American writer Ally Carter, published in 2006. It is the first book of the Gallagher Girls series.
Cammie Morgan is a student at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, which is a fairly typical all-girls school in exactly one respect: the way it describes itself. In practice the physical education classes teach advanced martial arts and the science classes teach the latest in chemical warfare, and students are given extra credit for breaking CIA codes in computer class. It claims to be a school for geniuses, and it is a school for spies.
Cammie is fluent in fourteen languages and is capable of killing a man in seven different ways. What she has no idea how to deal with is an ordinary boy who takes her for an ordinary girl, because while she can tap his telephone, hack into his computer or follow him across town with the skill of a trained operative, none of that tells her how to hold a relationship with somebody who can never be told the truth about her.
The novel follows her through her sophomore year, in which the most dangerous thing she does is fall in love with him.
