Half Lost (The Half Bad Trilogy)
Nathan Byrn is running again, and the Alliance of Free Witches has been all but destroyed by the Council's Hunters.
About
Half Lost is a fantasy novel for young readers by the British writer Sally Green, published in 2016. It is the last book of the Half Bad trilogy, about a war between two kinds of witches and a boy who belongs to both sides.
Nathan Byrn is on the run again. The Alliance of Free Witches has been almost destroyed, its surviving members are scattered and demoralised, and the Council's Hunters are pursuing them, so the rebels need a new strategy if they are going to survive at all.
That strategy depends on an ancient object: the missing half of an amulet that renders whoever carries it invincible in battle. The amulet's guardian is Ledger, a reclusive and extremely powerful witch with an agenda of her own, and the only way to win her trust is for Nathan to travel to America and persuade her in person. Combined with the Gifts he inherited from his father, the amulet could turn the tide of the civil war between the Black and the White witches, and Nathan is the one who has to fetch it.
