Fireman's Secret

Fireman's Secret is a Christian romance by the American writer Jessica Keller, published in 2015. It is set in the town of Goose Harbor.

Shelby Beck was injured in the fire that burned down her town's only church fourteen years before the novel opens, and she is now planning to rebuild it and to put her own life back together at the same time. The wounds she carries have made her keep men at a distance, and that habit has shaped her adult life. Joel Palermo comes back to Goose Harbor as a fireman and is assigned to work with Shelby on raising the money for the new building, and she is surprised to find how easily she can talk to her brother's old friend. The question is whether he is the man she will finally trust enough to let in, or whether the bond the two of them are building will be destroyed when his own scars come to light. The fundraising campaign is the practical work that keeps them together while the rest of it is worked out.

Keller writes clean and wholesome romances, and the books in this series are set in the same small town.
