About
Dream Eyes is a novel by the American writer Jayne Ann Krentz, published in 2013. It is the second book of her Dark Legacy series.
Gwen Frazier works as a psychic counsellor, and the death of her friend and mentor, Evelyn Ballinger, takes her back to Wilby, Oregon, the small town where she grew up and where she has memories she would rather not bring back. Two years before, a killer had hunted the members of one of Ballinger's research studies, and Gwen was one of the survivors while two other members of the group were not.
She is convinced that Ballinger's death is connected to what happened then, and she is not the only one who thinks so. A friend sends the psychic investigator Judson Coppersmith to Wilby to help her, and he arrives barely in control of his own talent and of his own life, and troubled by urgent dreams that will not leave him alone.
He is drawn to Gwen straight away, and just as quickly he is holding back things he cannot tell her, because telling her would mean surrendering himself to her completely. The two of them are pulled into other people's dreamscapes, into decades of deception, and into a connection between them that neither of them is in any position to resist.
