Darkness of Dragons is a fantasy novel by the American writer Tui T. Sutherland, published in 2017 and part of the Wings of Fire sequence.
The prophecy at the centre of the book is delivered by a young NightWing and is the first of its kind that anybody has trusted for generations. It warns that something is coming to shake the earth and something else to scorch the ground, that Jade Mountain will fall beneath thunder and ice, and that the only way out is to find the lost city of the night. Into that comes the possibility that Darkstalker may return. What the book sets up is whether five young dragons can save their world a second time, and whether they will work out what they are facing before the prophecy's weather arrives.
The book is one of the later volumes in the sequence, set long before the war the first arc describes.
