Read the Season Before Your Approach
On this page
The publisher describes feudal Japan with dynamic seasons, shifting weather and environmental destruction, and says these affect your tactical approach.
Seasons change what cover exists
Because seasons are described as dynamic and tactically relevant, a route that worked in one season is not guaranteed in the next. Treat foliage, sightlines and open ground as state rather than as fixed level design.
Weather matters to the stealth hero most
Naoe is described as using light and sound to evade detection, which makes shifting weather the condition that most changes her options. Planning an infiltration around visibility rather than around a memorised route is what the store’s own framing suggests.
Do not trust a wall
Environmental destruction is named as part of the world, so structures are not automatically permanent cover. Scout the approach, and keep a fallback for the moment your position stops existing.
Scout before committing a hero
With two heroes and variable conditions, the useful habit is to look first and choose second. Sending Yasuke into a fight that wanted quiet, or Naoe into a courtyard with no shadow to use, is a decision the briefing can prevent.
Hero choice and conditions go together: start with picking the hero the situation wants, then run the infiltration order.
